The EGEE-III project was a driving force behind the creation of the European Grid Initiative (EGI) vision and the EGI Design Study project. The EGEE deliverable DNA1.4 "Plan for a transition to a sustainable infrastructure" (will be publicly available mid Dec 2008) presents the plans for the transition from EGEE and a number of collaborating projects to the sustainable EGI model as documented in the public EGI Design Study documents:
