CERTH
The Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CE.R.T.H) is a legal, non-profit entity organised under the auspices of the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) of the Greek Ministry of Development.
Founded in March 2000, CERTH's mission is to carry out basic and applied research with special emphasis on exploiting research results and developing new products and services with industrial, economic and social impact. The areas the institute is specifically involved in include: Chemical Engineering and Material Processes; Information, Telematics and Telecommunications; Transportation; Agrobiotechnology; and Research and Technological development.
CERTH is a major research institute actively involved in Virtual Collabortion Environment projects. For EGEE, it will contribute in the operation of GRNET distributed ROC, providing support to users in the Thessaloniki area.
